Why swim with whales?

Whales are known across cultures as wisdom keepers. Some say whales carry the entire history of Earth within them. Others believe they are the keepers of the Akashic records. In the Polynesian myths, it is said that humans are here on Earth because whales brought us here in celestial canoes. The whales are still here, legend says, because they’ve chosen to remain as our guides and guardians.
If you’ve ever been in the presence of a whale, you can feel the truth of these legends. Whales emanate deep love, peace, grace, and wisdom. They have incredible healing powers, with potent medicine for all of us — transmitting a level of wholeness that is truly transformative. Come swim with us in the crystalline waters of Tahiti as we commune with the humpback whales, receiving their wisdom, healing, and gazing into their majestic eyes. And don’t forget all the energy magic too! |

A Typical Day in Our Polynesian Paradise:

To ensure that we are in harmony with the island, the daily itinerary is created once we arrive and dictated by the group energy. But here is what a typical day might look like:
Morning: Early breakfast in your home for the week.

Lunch in a local restaurant.
Afternoon: Spend the afternoon at one of Tahiti sacred healing sites, hike in the very lush jungle or explore another fantastic snorkeling spot. Evening: Meditation and healing session guided by our Whale Whisperer Claire. Maybe sunset and then dinner catered by Carmen. Dream time! And last but not least, it is time to lay the body down for a replenishing night's sleep! |

ITINERARY: TAHITI
August 30, 2025
Day 1: Depart SFO to Papeete Tahiti
Arrive Papeete, customs and immigration, then check into your hotel for the night. Spirit is Calling can book the hotel for you (at additional cost, about $100 per person double occupancy), request as soon as possible as they book really fast.
August 31, 2025
Day 2: Transfer to Moorea by ferry
After an early breakfast included in the price of the room, we will taxi to the ferry terminal for our ride to Mo’orea (about 45 min) and a chance to see our first whales from the ferry. Then pick up our rental cars in Mo’orea and drive to our sweet home in Maharepa (15min from the ferry).
Check in, relax, first group meditation/healing session.
Optional snorkel at Motu de Temae beach.
Then dinner at a local restaurant (not included).
Back to our home for a well deserved rest.
September 1, 2025
Day 3: A Whale of a day!
After breakfast we will drive to our first boat outing in the South Pacific Ocean to look for and hopefully swim with our friend the Humpback whales.
We could be in and out of the water for 4 - 6 hours, so be ready for the adventure.
Upon our return we will go to a local restaurant for a well deserved lunch (not included)
and then back home for shower and rest. Meditation and healing session followed by dinner.
September 2, 2025
Day 4: Rest and Integration
After breakfast and perhaps a morning snorkel, we will drive around the island (it takes 1 hour to drive the entire island) and shop for typical pareo and others fun stuff to be found in some local shops.
Lunch will be at a local food stand or restaurant (not included).
Return to our home for the rest of day.
Massage? R&R?
Meditation and healing session followed by dinner.
September 3, 2025
Day 5: A whale of a day !
After breakfast we will drive to our boat outing in the South Pacific Ocean to look for and hopefully swim with our friend the Humpback whales.
We could be in and out of the water for 4 - 6 hours, so be ready for the adventure.
Upon our return we will go to a local restaurant for a well deserved lunch (not included)
and then back home for shower and rest.
Meditation and healing session followed by dinner.
September 4, 2025
Day 6: Rest and Integration and hiking the jungle
After breakfast and perhaps a morning snorkel, we will drive around the island (it takes 1 hour to drive the entire island) and shop for the famous Tahitian pearls.
Lunch will be at a local food stand or restaurant (not included).
Return to our home for the rest of day or fun and easy hike in the jungle.
Massage? R&R?
Meditation and healing session followed by dinner.
September 5, 2025
Day 7: A whale of a day!
After breakfast we will drive to our last boat outing to look for and hopefully swim with our friend the Humpback whales.
We could be in and out of the water for 4 - 6 hours, so be ready for the adventure.
Upon our return we will go to a local restaurant for a well deserved lunch (not included)
and then back home for shower and rest.
Meditation and healing session followed by celebration dinner.
September 6, 2025
Day 8: Departure day!
Our last morning in our little paradise.
Time for a last snorkel in our fave bay after breakfast.
Return to home for shower and packing.
Return rental car and back on the ferry for our ride back to Papeete and our flight home. Dinner (not included ) at the airport before our late flight home.

Carmen Figueras
Carmen Figueras is a graduate and former staff member of the Berkeley Psychic Institute where she taught and trained thousands how to read auras and heal themselves. She is now the founder and CEO of Spirit is Calling, a psychic training school, and purveyor of spiritual journeys to countries around the world. A native of France, she brings her love for delicious, healthy food to the Journey with excellent meals that she prepares for all to enjoy. Carmen has been a spiritual leader and tour director for over 20 years. She has led groups to Nepal, Egypt, Bali, the Bahamas, the Philippines, Peru and Africa. Giving others the opportunity to enjoy life's many pleasures is one of Carmen's goals. Claire Elisabeth
Claire is a writer, teacher, healer, and truly an ocean being at heart. She spends as much time as she can immersed in salt water, inching closer to her dream of morphing into a marine mammal. Claire’s greatest wish (other than to sprout a dorsal fin and swim off into the sunset) is to help others find the power in who they already are. Her cetacean friends graciously offer their wisdom in service of this goal. And that’s Claire’s greatest passion — sharing the ocean’s wisdom — so we can all connect to our intrinsic wholeness and tap into our innate healing powers. |

Payment Policy & Covid Requirements
Payment Policy:
- A $500 deposit must be paid to secure a reservation. This deposit is applied against the total Spiritual Journey cost.
- The remainder of the Spiritual Journey cost is fully due and must be paid no later than 120 days before the start of the Spiritual Journey.
- In the event that the participant cancels their reservation, they must do so 120 days before the Spiritual Journey begins to receive a full refund of the amount they already paid. A written cancellation notice must be received by Spirit is Calling 120 days before the Spiritual Journey begins for a refund to be granted. Both email or USPS are acceptable forms of notice. A non-refundable Administrative fee of $150 will be deducted from the refund amount.
- 100% of the cost of the Spiritual Journey is non-refundable 120 days before the start of the trip.
- Attendees are encouraged to secure travel insurance to cover cancellations that may become necessary.
- In the event that Spirit is Calling cancels a Spiritual Journey, the amount paid towards the Spiritual Journey will be refunded in full.
IN-PERSON COVID-19 UPDATE:
At Spirit is Calling we wish to stay as safe as possible with our “in-person" attendance. We ask that all in-person attendees come to events with a couple of Covid-19 test kits and some N95 masks. If any attendee shows any flu like symptoms, they will need to wear a mask when indoors until symptoms are no longer present and they will also be asked to take a Covid-19 test. Should the test be positive, they will need to isolate from the group for 5 days unless their symptoms are not improving then they must follow the CDC guidelines for ending isolation. The attendee who tests positive will be responsible for any additional cost connected with the isolation period.
