Hawaii Self Healing Journey
Finding balance in a wacky world! Spirit is Calling presents a healing journey to Hawaii where Mana (magic) abounds! Connect with Pele (Hawaiian goddess of the volcano and creating and destroying), Spinner Dolphins and their magical healing energy and your Higher Self. Regain your vitality, spirit and body.
This is a journey of transformation spiritually as well as physical. The sacredness of our retreat center in the Big Island and Hawaiian ancient healing sites combined with various healing modalities are guaranteed to create some major energy shifts in your space. Our Self Healing Journey is also designed to answer your questions about how dolphins and humans interact and why we have such a mystical relationship with each other going back to Atlantis /Lemuria. Mana is a Hawaiian word which means "the stuff of which magic is formed" and “the substance of which souls are made.”

The Journey
In this spiritual retreat like no other, we will journey to the Kona coast to experience the transformative magic that Hawaii has to offer. Every journey is unique in that the group brings their own magic and wishes, which combined with the Mana (magical energy) of the Big Island, will guide our day-to-day adventures. The itinerary is designed to facilitate your renewal, both spiritual and physical. Each activity (meditation, healing workshop, a ritual at one of the Hawaiian sacred ite, our meals together) will contribute to your personal and spiritual transformation.
One day we may connect with Pele, Goddess of the volcano, accepting her healing abilities, which often center around creating and destroying, letting go of blockage. If she is actively manifesting (lava flowing), we may visit the site where she dances her majestic plumes. Many locals will attest to her presence on the island as spirit and human alike, and she is known to appear in different forms, sometimes as an older women, dressed in white, other times as a beautiful young woman. If she wishes you to see her, she will make herself known.
Another day you may find yourself swimming in the warm waters of the bay near our retreat center in Hawaii, floating in the water along side a “honu” (giant turtle) and connecting to their ancient wisdom. If you swim away from shore a little, do not be surprised if you are greeted by a pod of Nai ‘a (spinner dolphins) joyfully dancing around you and welcoming you into their playground. As of October 2021, the dolphins are protected mammals, and one should swim away from them no matter how tempting it is to get in the middle of the pod. You can connect with their energy from a distance.
Each day you will be served gourmet meals prepared by Carmen Figueras, a seasoned chef, and her dedicated staff. Carmen shops the markets for fresh fruits and vegetables grown locally, and works another form of magic with her wholesome dishes derived from a tradition of culinary mastery, and re-invented with her own creativity. Foods that are designed to heal body and spirit through rigorous change and self-discovery are an important part of this healing journey.

Liz Tregoning, Spiritual Journey Co-Leader and Teacher
Rt. Rev. Liz Tregoning is a professional spiritual healer, teacher and leader. She has worked and trained for over 25 years with Spirit is Calling, The Berkeley Psychic Institute, Church of Divine Man and The Divine Healing Center. She is currently a Co-Director of the Trance Medium Healing Program, Director of the Clairvoyant Training Program and Co-Teacher of the Playful Goddess Women’s Retreats at Spirit is Calling. Liz offers TM Reading/Healings and TM Touch Healings by appointment and at retreats and events. She also offers energy checks and readings on your Trance Mediumship for those interested in finding out more about this part of yourself.
Liz is a spiritual teacher and healer and an artist. A lover of the outdoors she has a passion for gardening, enjoys hiking, walking the dogs, and going camping. She lives in northern Sonoma county and is a grandma to 6 boys and 1 girl. |

Retreat Accommodations and Itinerary
This Healing Journey to Hawaii is based at the Hale Kai Retreat Center, the very place where dolphins, turtles, and even whales come to hang out on their own, and mingle with us humans when they are in the mood. The retreat center is a paradise within a paradise, as a place of marine wonder where land dwellers can meet the spirits of the sea. It is here that Carmen and our local healers will lead many of our guided meditations and unique healing techniques.
The bay offers very safe swimming for all levels; from non-swimmers to seasoned swimmers; all are welcome by the gentle waters and warm sandy beach. Should you request assistance to feel comfortable in the water, Carmen and her staff will be there to support you in befriending the sea at your own pace, to make your adventure a great experience just for you.
Learn to snorkel in the magnificent reef, see myriads of tropical fish and other creatures, and discover the depths of your own spirit while venturing into the world below. On land we will continue the exploration and wonder, with healings that stimulate more growth of the spirit. The healings will be presented so that all can participate. Those new to spiritual healing will learn to use the basic techniques, and experienced healers will have the chance to explore new modalities inspired by the island. The staff will take you through the steps to achieve the inner changes you seek by healing yourself and fellow journeyers.

A Typical Day in Paradise:
To ensure that we are in harmony with the island, the daily itinerary is created once we arrive and dictated by the group energy. But here is what a typical day might look like: Morning: Enjoy a yummy breakfast abundant with local fresh fruit and a hearty dish to give you the energy to play in the bay, snorkel or take a walk on the beach. Return to the retreat center for a special healing, some chill out time, a healing session , our morning workshop and before you know it is time for lunch. Afternoon: Spend the afternoon at one of Hawaii’s sacred healing sites or exploring another fantastic snorkeling spot. Go back to the retreat center to clean up and relax , get a massage …. Evening: Re-surface for our late afternoon healing session , sunset gazing, walk along the shore, followed by our dinner together and time to share stories, and hang out as a pod. Dream time! And last but not least, its time to lay the body down for a replenishing nights sleep! |

Shamanic HealingShamanic Healing allows you to connect with the power that lies in the natural world and the spirit realms. There are healing allies in all of nature, and the shaman knows how to connect with and channel their power to heal the spiritual cause of any ailment. What you will learn can only be learned on the island, but once you have it in you, you can take it with you anywhere. In the two Shamanic Healing classes you will learn: -How to connect with the power of the four elements to heal the spiritual cause of any ailment -Plant spirit healing -Crystal healing -How to access an infinite source of healing energy within you Shamanic healing allows you to enter the spirit world and gain access to information and healing remedies that are otherwise unavailable. Is your Totem a dolphin, whale , ancient turtle , the Nene ( Hawaii sacred bird). This will be a guided journey with Claire. Breathing for LifeBreathing for a vibrant life: In this workshop Carol will take us though some basic breathing exercises to help us focus on our body, bring new life-force and up the overall energetic vibration in the body, clearing out unconscious energy to become a conscious breather.

Important! This Spiritual Healing Journey is very physical in nature. Each participant must be able to handle hiking over uneven surfaces, going in and out of boats. Swimming is not needed but recommended. Carmen will talk about how to best prepare for this journey in pre-retreat meetings. Some cardio workout is suggested so all can best enjoy hanging out with turtles, wide variety of fish and most of all the dolphins.
Payment Policy & Covid Requirements
Payment Policy:
- A $500 deposit must be paid to secure a reservation. This deposit is applied against the total Spiritual Journey cost.
- The remainder of the Spiritual Journey cost is fully due and must be paid no later than 120 days before the start of the Spiritual Journey.
- In the event that the participant cancels their reservation, they must do so 120 days before the Spiritual Journey begins to receive a full refund of the amount they already paid. A written cancellation notice must be received by Spirit is Calling 120 days before the Spiritual Journey begins for a refund to be granted. Both email or USPS are acceptable forms of notice. A non-refundable Administrative fee of $150 will be deducted from the refund amount.
- 100% of the cost of the Spiritual Journey is non-refundable 120 days before the start of the trip.
- Attendees are encouraged to secure travel insurance to cover cancellations that may become necessary.
- In the event that Spirit is Calling cancels a Spiritual Journey, the amount paid towards the Spiritual Journey will be refunded in full.
IN-PERSON COVID-19 UPDATE:
At Spirit is Calling we wish to stay as safe as possible with our “in-person" attendance. We ask that all in-person attendees come to events with a couple of Covid-19 test kits and some N95 masks. If any attendee shows any flu like symptoms, they will need to wear a mask when indoors until symptoms are no longer present and they will also be asked to take a Covid-19 test. Should the test be positive, they will need to isolate from the group for 5 days unless their symptoms are not improving then they must follow the CDC guidelines for ending isolation. The attendee who tests positive will be responsible for any additional cost connected with the isolation period.
