Hi Again, these are a bit of confusing times and so I have continued to research hand sanitizers.  One of the CDC’s people talked about their lack of  recommendations in this area, but what he did say was that it need to be 90% alcohol with some water to activate it, however he would not give an actual amount.  Soooo, I’ll tell you what I am doing, and if anyone has better information, please let me know!
isopropyl alcohol is 91% alcohol, so I’m making mine with 90% isopropyl alcohol per 2 oz bottle (a bit less then they recommend) and 10% aloe vera juice or gel along with 15 drops of a combination of lavender and tea tree essential oils, both of which are used to kill germs.  Also, from what I understand, your hands should stay wet for about 1 minute to be effective at killing the corona virus.
I applaud New York for making their own for their residents!
Again, if you have better information, please pass it along, I would appreciate it.

In the meanwhile, please, no french kissing strangers and stay healthy and safe!

Healing and Nourishing Your Body With Powerful Foods

1/13/2020

It’s no news to most people that much of the foods that are commonly eaten in the US and many other countries have been altered to the point where they are no longer
good for you.  In the US, our lifespans are shortening, over 1/3 of the US adult population is classified as obese and degenerative diseases are now considered the norm as people age.  Chronic inflammation is rampant and is the precursor to most degenerative diseases.  Even many of our young people may sadly never know what it feels like to be a normal weight, to be vital, active and proud of how their amazing youthful bodies look!
Part of the problem is that on a deep level, we humans are programmed to just be happy that we can have a full belly! Finding and having enough food to eat for ourselves and our families was vital to our survival and cause for celebration through most of human history.  Unfortunately, in our time, many, many corporations that manufacture ‘food’ products make a fortune by ruining people’s health and they simply do not care.  We can no longer just assume the foods around us are good for us and our families.  So, for those people who have no real passion to invest their time and effort into researching healthy eating, taking ownership of their food space may seem like a daunting task.  Many people are too busy, stressed, fighting food addictions, etc. to feel like they have the space to explore the world of healthy eating.
For this reason, I think it’s a great idea to look at your diet in a new light: not to be in so much effort and judgement of how you eat, but to begin to focus on including as many delicious, vital and powerful healing foods into your diet as you possibly can!  In reality, it’s the tiny steps that are taken that build success.  Putting your attention and energy into positive changes instead of trashing yourself actually changes your brain!  Small changes made over time add up and can pay off big.  Focusing on a big life changing new way to eat more often than not leads to eventual failure: when life gets stressful or overwhelming, we will tend to go back to what is comfortable and easy.  Small changes repeated daily over time form new neural pathways in the brain. That means your body has a new habit it can depend on and you no longer have to think too much about it for it to work for you.

Because we are all so different it’s tricky to make specific suggestions, but here are a few ideas:

EAT GOOD FATS! Some fats heal the body, improve cell function and are a superior fuel for the body and some are just plan awful for your body.  Some good ones: Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil, even a Krill oil supplement.  Coconut oil is one of the best for cooking with high heat as it does not easily go rancid.  Using most oils for deep frying makes them rancid, especially those french fries at the restaurant: they may be using the same rancid oil for days on end!

EAT MORE VEGGIES!  The plant based diet revolution is upon us.  A great movie to check out is ‘Game Changer’, which shows how athletes are increasing their performances dramatically by switching to a plant based diet. Oprah recently announced that she is eating only plant based one day a week.  You do not need to go totally vegetarian to reap the benefits, again, small steps can add up!  One of the reasons that plant based is so good for you is that the soluble fiber in your diet is what the friendly microbes in your gut - your microbiome - loves to eat.  Which brings us to:

EAT LOTS OF FERMENTED FOODS!  Kefir (cow, goat, coconut and more!), sauerkraut, kimchi, kombucha, the list goes on and on.  Fermented foods are crazy good for you and help support your microbiome which in turn supports a huge percentage of important functions of your body, including helping heal inflammation.  In some cultures a bit of fermented veggies are included in each meal (such as kimchi) as they also help digestion.

Recently AARP published a long article entitled “The Cure for EVERYTHING. Researchers have linked inflammation to nearly ever critical disease of aging.”  This amazing article does a great job of explaining how chronic inflammation is a major killer of Americans, and the main cause is the infamous typical American diet!

GOLDEN MILK

Here is a recipe i thought you all might enjoy for an anti-inflammatory drink from India called GOLDEN MILK.  You can build a good habit by having a glass daily.  Turmeric is one of the very best anti - inflammatory foods, but it is not easily absorbed by the body, and requires some fat and some black pepper for the body to use it to it’s fullest.  In addition, it’s delicious!

    GOLDEN MILK
  • 12 oz coconut milk
  • 2 large pieces of fresh turmeric grated or 3 tbs turmeric powder
  • 1 small to med. piece of grated fresh ginger or 2 tsp. of ginger powder
  • 1/2 tsp of cinnamon powder or other chai tea spices (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp of ground black pepper
Place everything in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes and then strain it.  You can make enough to store in the fridge.  I like to put a few tablespoons into a mug and add hot water.
  • Sweeten with honey or maple syrup or a bit of stevia, etc. if desired

Uncovering Your Personal Power to Heal Your Body

By Christy Carrico

My story:

As a child my clairvoyant abilities were fairly open: this was often helpful in helping me stay away from unpleasant energies, but it was also disorienting as I did not really know what I was experiencing. It was also appalling to my parents and I got a lot of energy thrown at my eyes for seeing the destroy energies around me.  So fast forward into my twenties after I made my way from the east coast to the west coast and I’m now living in Berkeley.  There I was drawn to the Berkeley Psychic Institute and became a student of Lewis Bostwick, it’s founder and a tremendous clairvoyant and psychic.

One of the greatest gifts of my life was finding BPI and a safe place to develop my clairvoyant ability, and I will always be grateful for that.
After teaching there for almost 30 years, I moved to Hawaii and began to energetically look at my own aging process and my mockup to lead an enthusiastic and vital life right up to the end.  And, as so often happens, that mockup lead me to many answers and among them, I found a medical intuitive healer here on the island who taught me valuable spiritual healing tools for using my clairvoyance to see into the human body.  Another great life gift!

So I began to develop WellnessAlchemy, using the psychic tools Lewis Bostwick and his staff taught me at BPI in addition to many new tools I found along the way in my new passion of clairvoyant medical intuition.  As with most things, this passion was fueled by a healing crisis: I had a detached retina in my eye and healing my eyes and keeping them healthy was and is important to me.

I had an eye doctor several years ago who I liked, she had a good healing vibration to her.  In one appointment I had with her, she told me she wanted me to take certain eye drops.
So I bought the eye drops and did what I always do: got on the internet and begin finding out everything I could about this drug she gave me.  And I was appalled!  The side effects were terrible, including going blind. Hummm, there is something wrong with THIS  picture!  They did not actually heal the eyes and make them healthier: they only worked on one particular issue.

Well, I continued my research and checked out my favorite herbalist: Dr. Schultz, and his eye tincture: Eyebright.  (Dr Schultz is a great source of organic herbal products on the web at herbdoc.com).   Along with that I began to work my healing mockup. I threw out the drops she gave me and begin to use the herbal tincture, make some changes in my diet, and used my WellnessAlchemy healing protocols. I worked both sides of my mockup: if she quit as my doctor it would also be ok.  I did not want to loose this doctor, but there was no way I as going to follow her instructions, so I worked the energy in my mockup to have everything I wanted, and I educated myself as much as I could.

The next visit I bought my herbal drops with me and when I was asked how the pharmaceutical drops were going I told them I was not using them as they had horrible side effects.  So I explained some of what I had chosen to do instead.  (She was not quite ready to hear about psychic healing!) I explained that I had made certain lifestyle changes and educated myself: it was not doing this on a whim.   And so after a bit of fuss and hearing people meeting about me outside my exam room out in the hall (!), they tested my eyes.  Guess what?!  My self healing, lifestyle changes and Dr. Schultz's tincture was working great, bring increased circulation, nourishment and detoxification to my eyes! (They did not test for these things specifically, but I know what I did!)

The upshot was that my doctor had to admit it was working and agreed to support me in my choice and to continue to work with me. I got my mockup: healthier eyes and to keep my preferred eye doc!

Did this create a revolution in how she and her office did their practice?  No, of course not.  Among other things, I imagine if they begin using herbs to heal people’s eyes instead of pharmaceuticals, they would be sited or closed by the medical eye board. Did she hold it against me that I did not follow her instructions? Well, energetically I could tell, a little bit, but not enough to matter to me.

So here is my point to this story.  Our bodies belong to us.  They do not belong to the medical establishment, or anyone else for that matter.  When you create a mockup for healing your body of some body issue, you are the lead healer.  You get to be the one who sets the mockup and the energy for your healing miracle.  Why work with medical people who are not supportive of you?  We are programmed to give up our seniority to experts through lack of knowledge and fear, but they may or may not understand and support what is best for each of us.  Building your healing team and appointing yourself as leader of that team allows you to create your best self healing mockup!  Who is on that team?  Whoever you call into your space:  there are many amazing healers in the world from psychic healers to medical experts to naturopaths to massage therapists!  Exercising your personal power in creating your healing team seems like a revolutionary idea.  In that case, I vote we all become spiritual healing revolutionaries!

How is your spiritual path coming along?

How is your spiritual path coming along?  Are you excited and enthused at all by being a spirit in a body this lifetime who can read auras?  Are you using those awesome psychic tools that enrich your life and bring meaning daily? (I know, I know, sometimes those growth periods are not that fun!)  Or has your psychic space been usurped by the political arena and the fear, resistance, paranoia and hopelessness peddled by so many in power these days?

Our spiritual sanctuary is such a special space.  When I first had an aura reading about 40 years ago when I was in my 20’s, I was as happy as I can ever remember being.  The reading I received - a simple 1/2 hour version done by a lady in her house - I understood had opened a doorway for me that had already changed my life in an afternoon.  It was like falling in love. I walked from her house floating on a cloud, which was pretty easy because I had not yet learned to ground!

Her words to me about my life and what I had experienced so far were the greatest truth I had ever heard.  They spoke to the heart of me.  I was suddenly no longer stumbling along feeling buffeted by events and people around me.  I was clairvoyant!  I saw energy and beings that I had had no words or context for!  I had existed before in other lives!  I could become sick from other’s negativity - it was not that I was weak, I was spiritually sensitive!
Though my life did not become magically easy, still, it gave it a direction and meaning that I am still so grateful for.  How many lifetimes have we all struggled without meaning or purpose or an awareness of ourselves as spirit?  And, how many lifetimes were we controlled by some religious organization’s limited version of God and ourselves as spirit?  One of the greatest aspects of being a psychic, to me, is that I not only have my own communication with God and the God of my own Heart; but I can support other’s around me and in turn be supported by them to own and nurture this personal space.  Guilt and Responsibility are energetic blockages to clear - not burdens to carry.  In some amusement I say:  Jesus does not love us more if we are miserable under a burden of guilt and self sacrifice.  How much fun are we to be around when we are like that, anyway?!

But lately I notice some psychics have lost their personal spiritual sanctuary to a constant barrage of fear and horror peddled by the media and many power brokers in government.  How much time are you wasting listening to all this and then becoming the negativity being fed to us minute by minute?

This is not about sticking your head in the sand, but about finding and having your space so that you can see clearly who you are, where you are going and what is truly important in your life.  Which of these adds to the positive change on our wonderful planet: meditating for an hour or spending an hour on the internet being horrified or fearful?  Are you putting your energy into what you love and love to create, or are you putting your energy into what you most fear?  The fear mongers WANT you to spend your time devouring big daily doses of what terrible or horrible thing is happening daily.  Maybe it’s time to say ‘screw those guys’.

So, how do we find our space in the midst of all this negative fearful input?  I vote for meditation and clairvoyance. Our planet is in the midst of a huge shift - ask any astrologer and they will probably agree. What is the energy of this shift exactly?  Perhaps to each of us it’s something different.  Well, at least to me, in simple terms it’s a shift toward self awareness, cooperation and kindness as guiding principles.  It’s a shift from ‘hurrah for me, screw you’ as a path to success, to understanding the power of individual and global community and cooperation.

And we are in the midst of what is a tremendous backlash to this shift and the painful death of the old and useless way.  I see that this shift is happening one way or the other, and reading the energy of what is happening allows us to blow our pictures and get our space back and pursue our own meaningful goals. Then you can feed that which you love and not that that you hate.

Perhaps its time to try a media diet or fast.  Meditate, take time to create and work on your goals, take classes that interest you, nurture your relationship with nature and the planet, enjoy your friends.  Pet your dog!  The list is endless and does not require a 24 hour cable news subscription either!

Best Wishes to you all,  Christy Carrico

Healing your Body and Your Spiritual Path

Healing body issues and disease can be an exciting path to self awareness and self knowledge

WellnessAlchemy has an important spiritual truth that is at it’s foundation.  And that is that your body’s wellness, vitality and happiness are a product of the partnership between you the spirit and your body.

Children can be a handful and as all parents of small children can tell you, you have to program your child to keep them safe as their brains are not developed enough to understand how to keep that body out of danger.  Read:  don’t run out in traffic. STOP.  Yesterday, I watched a father follow his toddler right up to the edge of the sidewalk where he grabbed her a mere second before she stepped into speeding traffic.

A good teacher of children will understand the importance of validating the body, and give students plenty of time and space for them to use their body in play and creative projects. But what happens to you over time as schools and adults put their pictures and programming into you to obey their commends instead of listening to your own body?
Over time, you can lose an important connection to yourself and both you and your body will suffer.  You may no longer know how to listen to what your body is trying to tell you, or if it gets through to you, you may be programmed to invalidate or ignore it!  As an example, your body yells for nourishment or movement and you tell it later, or even get mad at it for demanding something from you when your busy.

One of the consequences I see to all this is that most people are seriously programmed to see healing their body as something they are not even a valuable part of.  Your have an illness, you see a doctor.  He or she fixes it, and if they cannot, too bad, or maybe somehow it’s your fault.  As a professional WellnessAlchemy healer, I encounter this attitude from many people: the disempowered belief system that you yourself are not the most important part in healing your own body, except perhaps to be sure to pay on the way out.

Here is my story.  About 5 years ago, I began to have tremendous intestinal distress right after a visit to see my family back East.  We would all often eat dinner at my Mom’s favorite restaurant.  At the start of each meal they put on the table the most amazing array of hot breads and sweet rolls, and even though I did not usually eat any bread, I enthusiastically indulged.  A few days after I returned it hit with a vengeance: suddenly I had a blown up abdomen and unreal amounts of pain.
Not sure what was going on I went to a naturopath, a lovely lady who diagnosed me as either gluten sensitive or with celiac disease.  Then I got from her about $300 worth of supplements and meal replacements to heal myself.  I did not know about the effects of gluten, so I just followed her advise.
I then went home and begun to do my own research, and this is really when my own healing miracles began.  It turned out there is a big problem with a great many testing labs:  they were returning diagnosis of false negatives, which means people who indeed had a problem were told they had none.  So I found a lab that was highly recommended by those who understood the problem.  I had them do my testing and indeed I did have gluten sensitivity.
I also found out about a thing called ‘cross sensitivity’ which means that my immune system thinks grains without gluten look close enough to ones that do have it, and eating them can still set off an allergic reaction.  This meant that all those supplements full of rice I got from the naturopath doctor went into the trash.  And thank goodness for that.  She did her best for me, but then again, she did not have the personal motivation I had to find out about something that experts where only then beginning to really understand.

If I had not done my own research, I might have continued to create an allergic crisis in my gut, and I might have even believed I was not sick with gluten sensitivity but perhaps it was all just in my mind!
I would add to this that my ability to clairvoyantly look at what my body’s truth was, was invaluable.  It allowed my to sift through a lot of research and to focus on what resonated with my body.  This allowed me to find out from my body what it really wanted and needed to heal itself, and I did.  This lead to a lifestyle change I have to this day.

Here is another interesting story.  Once I was doing healing work with a lady who had type 2 diabetes.  She was complaining about her doctor, as this doctor was not supportive of her and had her feeling bad when she went in for a visit.  So I asked her, what is more important in your life then healing your body and getting well?  And what is the energy that says you have to put up with someone so unsupportive?  Someone, by the way, you are paying for.
So she changed doctors to someone she felt good working with, and it was a big step along her healing path.

We are the ones in charge of our own healing and when we use our own personal power and choices to own that job, then the healing team we assemble will continue to empower us.  Choosing healers and medical people truly on our side and not controlled by forces of profit or possibly an entrenched attitude of ignorance, is a game changer.

When faced with a body issue or illness, taking ownership of this experience as part of your own spiritual path makes everything along that path meaningful in a new way. The vibration of creating a healing partnership between you and your body can be an exciting first step to your increased health and vitality.
